Select Soccer Tryout Information

Select Soccer and the competitive growth of your child is natural and for this reason COSA offers formalized  select soccer programs in partnership with Capital City Futbol Club and Club Ohio.

Select Soccer is designed for players from U9-U18 seeking a more competitive level of soccer than which is offered through the recreational programs. The objective of the program is to provide players with more advanced skill development as offered by experienced coaches and professional trainers.   The  higher level match experience and more intense training better prepare players to compete in progressively more advanced levels of the game.

Tryouts for the upcoming season are conducted, and teams are formed this Spring.   Tryouts will begin the week of May 27th.

Please Visit the Following Web Sites for Specific Tryout Information and Times:

Capital City Futbol Club - Director of Coaching Devon Cannon, Head Girls Varsity Coach at Westerville Central High School

Club Ohio - Director of Coaching Aaron Linden, Head Boys Varsity Coach at Westerville South High School

The COSA Board is excited to offer these options to our members and families of the surrounding communities - Westerville, New Albany, Gahanna, Blacklick, Sunbury, Lewis Center, Genoa, Powell, Northern Columbus.   We encourage you to contact these coaches about their respective programs.

Help Us Earn a $2500 Grant!
Posted Apr 12, 2013

Please Respond by the May 31st Deadline!

Liberty Mutual Insurance is awarding $2,500 Community Grants as part of its Responsible Sports program championing and celebrating responsibility in youth sports.

Here’s how it works:

Every person who completes the online Responsible Coaching or Responsible Sport Parenting course and 10-question Quiz earns one point. The fifteen (15) organizations around the country that get the most points will earn a $2,500 Grant.

Since we’ll only be competing against organizations of similar size (three separate divisions), we have a great chance to win! Of course, the more people we get to read the Guide and take the Quiz, the better our chance of earning a Community Grant.

Let’s all work together – for the kids, and for the $2,500 Grant. We will use our proceeds for field improvement and for our annual Jarosi/Willis Tournament scholarship to high school soccer players entering college.
