REGULAR REGISTRATION PERIOD ENDS SUNDAY MARCH 16, 2014.
The Central Ohio Soccer Association (COSA) has provided soccer to children in northeastern Columbus, Westerville and surrounding areas since the spring of 1979. The goal is to provide a program designed so that the children can learn and enjoy the sport of soccer. Our Tiny Tots program consisting of 3 and 4 year olds, has been created so as to strengthen each child's basic soccer skills and teamwork while also receiving large motor skills. For the 5, 6 and 7 year olds, we have teams (co-ed) that play an eight game schedule; each game consists of six periods rather than four quarters so as to enable the children to attain additional game experience and more ball touches. We also have under 8/9 coed division that play an eight game season on Saturday mornings; and if you are signing up for this division, please designate that your child is being registered for the Under 9 Boys division. For children U10 and up, through middle school, we field teams that play games with surrounding recreational soccer programs. For parents/players interested in playing select/traveling soccer, there are two clubs that play out of Cooper Park; those being the Capital City Futebol Club and COSA Club Ohio.
Our fields are located at Cooper Park, behind the Vineyard Church on Cooper Road, between Westerville Road and West Schrock Road; and most games are played on Saturday mornings; with some being assigned on weeknights. Should there be a need for makeup games due to inclement weather, we may have games on Sunday afternoons (none start before 1pm).
The regular registration period for our spring season has begun, and will run through March 16, 2014. After that late, the only applications accepted will be to round out the number of players on teams that may be short one/two players. The regular cost is $75 for tiny tots through age 7 and $95 for U8/9. You may register online through our website, by paper applications that are located outside the COSA office at 921 Eastwind Drive, Suite 114, at the Westerville Public Library and at the Westerville Community Center; or if your child is a student in the Westerville elementary schools, you should have received a COSA application through the Virtual BackPack from the WCS.

The Central Ohio Soccer Association (COSA) has proudly served Central Ohio and surrounding communities for over 30 years. We are a member of the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association, as well as being affiliated with the US Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer.
We achieve to provide the players with a fun and energetic environment allowing them to learn the basics of soccer. We have a beginners instructional program (i.e. Tiny Tots) for 3 and 4 year olds; as well as youth recreational leagues. In addition, if your child excels and you and the child desire more Advanced Training they can join our Club Program, through either COSA Team Ohio or Capital City Futebol Club.
We have two seasons each year, Spring and Fall. Spring season begins in April thru May, while the Fall season forms in August, with games starting in early September and ending in late October. Our fields are at Cooper Park located off Cooper Road, between Westerville Road and West Schrock Road in the north side of Columbus, which is supplied by Columbus Recreation & Parks.
COSA has supported youth soccer with various tournaments, including The Jarosi/Willis Memorial Cup, COSA Fall Classic, as well as a High School Tournament to support the growth of our local highschools; as well as looking to the future by planning to establish a spring tournament. COSA offers various camps, coaching and referee clinics throughout the year, and remains active in surrounding communities, in addition to Columbus and Westerville.
We look forward to you and your family joining our organization, so as to provide your children with a great environment to learn about the sport of soccer; and most importantly - Have Fun!
The fields used for recreational and travel soccer will be closed until the start of the spring season, which will be either the last weekend of March or the first weekend of April; depending on weather and spring break fof the school systems in the area.
